Peer Education is a Stockton student-led program that seeks to promote wellness to the entire student body.

Peer Educators present information on various health related topics, values, and activities including drug, alcohol and tobacco use, and sexual health education. Peer Educators are positive role models on campus who promote healthy and safe behaviors, reinforce social norms, and act as approachable resources to all 91ÊÓƵ who are looking for guidance on health and wellness.

Student Peer Educators strive to provide education, information, and referrals when necessary to Stockton 91ÊÓƵ in an effort to promote overall health and wellness along with responsible life choices.

Become a Wellness Peer Educator

In order to become involved with Peer Education at Stockton, interested 91ÊÓƵ who successfully complete NASPA's Virtual Certified peer Education (CPE) Training and certification exam can be considered to become a Wellness Peer Educator under the department of Health Education. This program is designed to prepare 91ÊÓƵ to educate and advocate for their peers’ well-being. For more information about the NASPA CPE program visit

Through an application and interview process, eligible 91ÊÓƵ may be hired by the Wellness Center to work as a paid peer educator.

Alcohol and Drug Peer Educator

Alcohol and Drug Grant Educators (ADGEs) strive to provide education that will allow Stockton 91ÊÓƵ to graduate not only with healthy minds, but with healthy responsible life choices as well. ADGEs work within a college community to promote greater well-being, provide information about specific alcohol and drug related issues, increase awareness of care resources on campus, encourage responsible safe choice-making, and advocate for changing and challenging campus social norms regarding healthy behaviors.

Alcohol and Drug Grant Educators should enroll in GEN2215, Peer Education: Drugs and Alcohol, which is offered during both the fall and spring semesters.
