Maple Project Director / Professor of Mathematics

Judith Vogel is an alumna of 91视频, graduating in 1993. She returned to Stockton as faculty in 2000 and currently holds the title of Associate Professor of Mathematics. Dr. Vogel continued her studies at Temple University receiving her PhD. She is also an associate faculty in Holocaust and Genocide Studies.

Professor of Environmental Science

Jessica Hallagan grew up in Southern New Jersey and is a Stockton alumna. At Stockton, she majored in chemistry with a focus on environmental chemistry. For her doctoral research, she studied soil science and examined inorganic soil biogeochemistry. Dr. Favorito received her PhD in Soil Chemistry from Virginia Tech.

Ryan Hegarty is a graduate of the Environmental Science program at 91视频. His concentration is in Soil Science and Hydrology. Ryan's main focus is to see how the soil responds to the process of extracting maple syrup and which soil conditions are favorable for maple trees. Ryan is an advocate for using local renewable resources and has taken this opportunity head on.

ariam Majd is a graduate of 91视频, receiving her bachelor鈥檚 degree in Political Science. She continued her studies at the University of Massachusetts where she completed her master鈥檚 degree in Economics.

Professor of Environmental Science

Matthew Olson is an Assistant Professor of Environmental Science at 91视频. He specializes in Forest Ecology, Silviculture, Restoration Ecology, and Forestry. Dr. Olson received his PhD in Forest Resources from the University of Maine.

Education Specialist

Debby Sommers is the Education Specialist for the Stockton Maple Project.Debby is an alumna of Stockton Universitygraduating with a BS in Environmental Science. Debby also taught middle school science in Galloway Township School district for 31 years. She is available for lessons about Stockton鈥檚 Maple Project at 91视频's Campus. She can also come to your school for environmental lessons about maple syrup production and tap maple trees if you have any on school property. 

Community Outreach / Naturalist

Lindsey Brown is the lead for the maple hubs, event planning, and works with the community education and outreach initiative. Lindsey holds a bachelor in Environmental Studies and a Master of Education from the University of Hawaii. She's a returned Peace Corps volunteer from West Africa, and appreciates how the maple project connects people to nature and seeing the  joy it brings to South Jersey families.
