Where Are They Now?

1980

Al Iannuzzi ’80 is the senior director of Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability for Johnson & Johnson. He is the author of, “Greener Products: The Making and Marketing of Sustainable Brands,” and, “Industry Self-Regulation and Voluntary Environmental Compliance.” He is also in the process of publishing another book. Iannuzzi earned a B.A in Environmental Studies from Stockton, an M.S in Environmental Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in Environmental Policy from the Union Institute and University.


1984

Jeff Quattrone ’84, ARTV alumnus, was named one of South Jersey Magazine’s Men of the Year for 2016, and he conducted a five-week workshop series for the Stockton Center for Successful Aging (SCOSA) throughout March and April. His life’s mission, and something he fell into quite by accident, is protecting our food supply. 


1986

David Hughes ’86, member of the 91Ƶ Foundation Board, has been the CFO for Shore Medical Center since January 2014. Prior to this, while he sat on the Board of Trustees for Shore Medical Center for nearly three years, he held the positions of executive vice president, CFO and treasurer for Trump Entertainment. He recently placed as one of six finalists in the non-profit organization category for the NJBIZ CFO of the Year Awards.


1987

Anthony Catanoso ’87, principal owner and president of Steel Pier, recently hosted nearly 300 Stockton alumni and 91Ƶ at Stockton Day on Aug. 26.

Bruce Gitto ’87 recently wrote a song titled, “End Hunger,” which promotes food drives for the Food Bank of South Jersey. His song was performed by Egg Harbor Township 91Ƶ on June 13 at the Hamilton Mall.


1989

Nancy Zimmerman ’89 works for two Christian radio stations and enjoys photographing the local wildlife and selling her duck eggs in the community. Zimmerman has happily lived in Cape May County her entire life, and her family and husband both reside there and work locally. She earned a B.A in Mathematics from Stockton. 


1990

Dr. Barbara Chamberlain, RN, ’90 recently sponsored the second annual golf clinic, in which 27 golfers participated at this year’s 91Ƶ Golf Classic at Stockton Seaview Hotel & Golf Club on Sept. 26. Joanna Coe, Mays Landing native and PGA professional, led the clinic. 


1997

Anthony Boone ’97 was recently welcomed to Waynesburg University as an assistant professor of Counseling. Boone earned a B.A in Philosophy and Religion from Stockton, as well as an M.A., M.Ed. and Ph.D. from Duquesne University. 


1998

Alexander J. Barrera, Esq. ’98 has been elected as the president of the Atlantic County Bar Association. Barrera graduated from Stockton with a B.S. in Accounting with high honors and is married to his Stockton sweetheart, Alexa D’Amato ’98. 


1999

Alisha Owens ’99 has been named the vice president and chief revenue officer of NOLA Media Group. After earning her B.A. in Business Studies from Stockton, Owens held the positions of director of advertising for The Press of Atlantic City, director of advertising for the Post and Courier in Charleston, S.C. and, most recently, vice president of advertising and marketing for the Arizona Daily Star. 


2002

Michael Sheeran ’02 is an account executive at Glenn Insurance, Inc., where he has worked for 11 years. He recently earned the title of certified financial planner from the CFP Board of Standards. Sheeran earned a B.S. in Computer Science and Information Systems from Stockton. 

John Davis ’02 /MAIT ’05 recently became the assistant superintendent for the Egg Harbor Township School District. Prior to this, he worked as the superintendent for the Port Republic School District. Davis earned a B.S. in Computer Science & Information Systems and an M.A. in Instructional Technology from Stockton.

Emily Rock ’02, ’03 was recently awarded the Princeton University Distinguished Secondary Teaching Award. Rock has been an English teacher at Oakcrest High School since 2005. She graduated from Stockton with degrees in Theater/English and Secondary Education.


2003

Alicia McMackin ’03 was named the assistant director of Events and Engagement in the Development and Alumni Office at Stockton in July. McMackin earned a B.A. from Stockton. Her passion for Stockton brought her back to campus, where she hopes to make a positive impact on alumni and 91Ƶ. 

Eli Gbayee ’03, a native of Liberia, is the founder and president of Hope for Liberia. Gbayee’s work has helped to provide humanitarian resources to thousands of Liberians, and his work continues. Gbayee earned a B.A. in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Stockton. 

2005

Susan Adelizzi-Schmidt ’05, president of Suasion Communications Group, has been chosen for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses 2017 Philadelphia Spring Cohort. Adelizzi-Schmidt and her team have been working at Suasion for 10 years to increase awareness for amazing local people and businesses. The Goldman Sachs program will allow participants to develop even better business strategies and help them plan the growth of their companies more than ever before.


 

2006

Dave Sholler ’06 is the vice president of communications for Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment which runs the Philadelphia 76ers and the New Jersey Devils. An Egg Harbor Township native, Sholler worked his way up from a difficult childhood and has raised over $10,000 for the Atlantic City Rescue Mission among other amazing accomplishments. Sholler earned a B.A. in Communication Studies from Stockton.  


2007

Richard Luettchau II ’07 was recently featured in The Wall Street Journal as an internationally competitive race walker. After suffering from injuries during cross-country and track and field at Stockton, Luettchau II was encouraged to try race walking. In 2013 and 2016, he qualified for the Olympic 20 kilometer race walk. Luettchau II earned a B.A. in Historical Studies from Stockton. 


2010

Ashley Brooke Gordon ’10 is a manifestation coach, meditation facilitator and certified yoga teacher. On Tuesday, April 25, Ashley came back to Stockton and instructed a Glow Yoga class in the Experimental Theatre. It was an opportunity for 91Ƶ and the University community to relieve stress by experiencing yoga with glow-in-the-dark paint. 


2011

Alexandra Mankofsky ’11, rowing alumna, recently became an operational dive team member for the Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP) Underwater Operations Unit, where she will work on criminal underwater investigations and evidence recovery. In September, Mankofsky obtained her Master Diver Certification. Prior to this, she spent about five years conducting wildlife research at various universities; her studies focused on marsh and shore bird populations. She continues to conduct similar research with the Cape May Raptor Banding Project. Mankofsky earned a B.S. in Environmental Sciences from Stockton.

Jacquelynn Cowles ’11 hosted a fireside chat at the Ability Fair 2017 at 91Ƶ. Cowles is an inspirational lifestyle blogger and nutritionist who has been inspired to help others through her lifelong struggle with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). She earned a B.A. in Communication Studies from Stockton.


2014

Katie Kachmarchyk ’14 is currently working in the Netherlands, where she earned an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Webster University, Leiden. It was in the Psychology program at Stockton that Kachmarchyk found her passion. Michael Frank, professor of Psychology, and John White, professor of Psychology, helped shape her love for the human brain and psychology.

Shannon Palzer ’14 recently became the marketing manager for Bell Tower Shops in Fort Meyers, Fla. After she graduated from Stockton with a B.S. in Hospitality & Tourism Management Studies, she worked as the food and beverage manager at Stockton Seaview Hotel & Golf Club and the director of marketing and business development for Gloucester Premium Outlets.


2015

Madelaine Macauley ’15 is the newest sales associate for Coldwell Banker Sol Needles Real Estate. She also works at a local brewery, Cape May Brewing Co. Macauley earned a B.S. in Hospitality & Tourism Management Studies from Stockton.


2016

Nephthaly Jean-Charles ’16 is a microbiologist quality assurance technician at Barry Callebaut. She recently received the Young Leader Award at the 101 Women Plus Black Leadership & Scholarship Awards on May 20. Her work and speech at the 100 Black Elders Oral History Project inspired is the award. Jean-Charles earned a B.S. in Biology at Stockton.


2017

Scott Scerbo ’17, a Business Studies graduate, proposed to his Stockton sweetheart, Catherine Dell Elba ’17, an Education Studies graduate, following the commencement ceremony at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Family, friends and Talon the Osprey were there to congratulate the newly engaged couple.
