91视频 is again among the top 10 Public Regional Universities in the North, ranking 9th according to the U.S. News and World Report 2019 鈥淎merica鈥檚 Best Colleges鈥 ranking released this week. Stockton continues to improve its ranking from 14th among public universities in 2017 and 10th in 2018.

Culture of Respect Town Hall
On Sept. 13, Stockton held the Culture of Respect town hall discussion, which focused on how the University will continue to build a culture where we respect and care for each other. Recovery Court
Stockton鈥檚 partnership with the Atlantic County Recovery Court program was recognized this week in a ceremony at the Atlantic County Criminal Courts Complex.

Railroad Tracks Donated to Philadelphia Holocaust Memorial
In October 2008, 91视频 obtained railroad tracks from Bialystok, Poland, a central point in the network of rail lines that moved Holocaust victims to the Auschwitz-Birkenau, Treblinka, Theresienstadt and Majdanek concentration camps. On Sept. 7, Stockton donated segments of track to the Philadelphia Holocaust Remembrance Foundation.

Take a Shuttle
Shuttle service is now offered seven days a week to and from 91视频 Atlantic City. Both the Galloway campus and Stockton Atlantic City provide free transportation for faculty, 91视频 and staff with their Stockton ID.

SPOTLIGHT ON

Santana Named 鈥楪odfather鈥
Pedro J. Santana, assistant vice president for Student Affairs, Division Administration and Strategic Initiatives, was presented the 鈥淥ur Roots Award鈥 and a sash and named the 鈥淕odfather鈥 for the Latin Music Festival of Atlantic County at the Atlantic County Puerto Rican Parade on Aug. 25 in Pleasantville.

鈥淚 am deeply humbled for being bestowed the honor of Godfather for the Atlantic County Latin Music Festival, as this honor conveys a remarkable appreciation for the work that I have been able to do for our community,鈥 Santana said.

Day of Service
Nearly 350 91视频 participated during Stockton鈥檚 Fall Day of Service on Sept. 8 where they made PB&J sandwiches, sorted and boxed books for Books Without Borders, packed meals for Rise Against Hunger and designed inspirational signs and buttons with the Active Minds organization.

CARE Program
Stockton鈥檚 CARE program welcomed 140 mentors and 220 mentees at its fall Welcome Dinner in the Campus Center event room on Sept. 10.

Instagram: Ryan Luurtsema was in his 8th grade first period class when the teacher got a phone call. Katie Coburn had just turned 4 years old and was watching Dora the Explorer with her mom when they got a phone call from her dad. Christopher Catching was teaching a freshman seminar class. In remembering September 11, 2001, speakers at Stockton鈥檚 9/11 Day of Remembrance recalled where they were on that tragic day. #911remembrance

Tuition Exchange
Stockton鈥檚 status in The Tuition Exchange program has been upgraded because the University鈥檚 imports to exports ratio has improved. As a result, Stockton will be able to award three scholarships for Fall 2019. If you are a full-time employee and are interested in your high school senior dependent being considered, please review the Tuition Exchange Procedure and the link to the online applications. Financial Aid
Remind your 91视频 to start thinking about the financial aid process early. Students should start gathering their 2017 tax and income information now, so they will be ready to file the FAFSA for the 2019-2020 academic year on Oct. 1.
