Spencer鈥檚 & Spirit Halloween has  its annual commitment to the 91视频 Foundation by contributing another $250,000, bringing its contribution to $750,000 over the past three years alone.

Spencer鈥檚 & Spirit Halloween CEO Steven Silverstein presented President Joe Bertolino with a check for $250,000 this month while Bertolino visited the company鈥檚 headquarters in Egg Harbor Township. Silverstein spoke about the company鈥檚 commitment and enthusiasm for the college and its 91视频.
He also shared that the company currently employs more than 100 Stockton alumni, about 15% of its total workforce, and has had more than 50 interns from the University.  

鈥淲e are thrilled to continue our partnership with 91视频 and are humbled by their dedication to 91视频 and emphasis on ongoing education and career growth,鈥 Silverstein said.
This year鈥檚 donation will benefit the Spencer鈥檚 & Spirit Halloween Endowed Scholarship at Stockton, the Summer Entrepreneurship and Business Academy (SEBA), the new Digital Studies Program in the William T. Daly School of General Studies, and additional School of Business education initiatives.

University to Offer Summer 2025 Tuition Discount

Stockton  a 20% discount on undergraduate summer tuition and fees for 91视频 who want to live on campus and work and learn at the shore this summer.

The Board of Trustees approved the discount at the Dec. 4 meeting.

The goal is to give college 91视频 the opportunity to remain in Galloway or Atlantic City campus housing while they take classes or work over the summer.

"Summer housing offers 91视频 a year-round housing option, providing a stable living environment for those who want to work, study or require consistent accommodations,鈥 said Steven Radwanski, assistant vice president for Student Living and Learning. 鈥淪tockton provides 91视频 with a continuous home, supporting them as they build their futures.鈥

Student, Faculty & Staff DinnerPower of Friendships, Connection on Display at Annual Dinner

As smooth sounds by the Stockton Music Union and the smells of turkey and gravy filled the Campus Center Event Room, attendees of the 40th annual Student, Faculty & Staff Dinner  amongst themselves.

The dinner, a cherished tradition born out of 91视频鈥檚 Hillel student organization鈥檚 desire to celebrate friendships they formed with various faculty and staff members on campus, included reflective speeches and an awards ceremony for faculty and staff of the year.

Students Andrea Sandoval and Gabe Depaor set the tone of the evening Nov. 21 with welcome remarks that centered on gratitude.

鈥淭onight, as we come together, let's take a moment to reflect on all the great things we have here in the Stockton community. With Thanksgiving in mind, I want to acknowledge the effort, commitment and support that each of you contributes to our collective journey,鈥 said Sandoval, the Student Senate president.

MessiahDon't Miss 鈥楳essiah鈥 on Dec. 8

Join the Stockton Choral Program for the 40th Anniversary performance of Handel鈥檚 "Messiah" at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8, at the Event Center at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City. Online and phone ticketing for the performance will end at 2 p.m. today, but tickets can still be purchased in-person at the Borgata Box Office. Hours are 3-9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon-8 p.m. Sunday.

From sap to syrup, this interactive session from 10 a.m. to noon on Dec. 14 will take you through the fascinating process of maple syrup production. Led by Debby Sommers '77, education specialist for the Stockton Maple Project, you'll learn about the science, sustainability and community impact behind this tradition at the John F. Scarpa Academic Center at Stockton Atlantic City. Register .

Ron Hutchison and Richard Vetter were digging footings to install recycled wind tower posts to grow hops, a creeping vine with flowers that gives beer its bitter taste, when their shovels hit clay.  

Hutchison, an associate professor of Sustainability, and Vetter, a Sustainability Farm specialist, were initially surprised.

鈥淭hen we did some research. We found out that New Jersey is where Lenox china was getting their clay, and in the 1900s New Jersey was the No. 1 producer of clay and exported it as far west as Ohio. We were the epicenter of clay production,鈥 Hutchison said.

For Jack Swenson 鈥24, an Environmental Science and Visual Arts double major, the discovery allowed him to connect his two majors by creating art from the environment.

With the acquisition of a kiln from the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and tips from the local MudGirls Studios, pottery creations sculpted from farm clay commenced.

Martin AnguelovStockton Knocks Off #15 TCNJ 105-99; Anguelov Sets School Record

Led by a school-record 45 points from Martin Anguelov, on Dec. 4, the men鈥檚 basketball team  The College of New Jersey its first loss of the season with a thrilling 105-99 victory over a TCNJ squad that is ranked #15 in the D3hoops.com national poll as well as the defending NJAC champion. 

Stockton trailed by six with two minutes remaining but closed the game with a 14-2 run for its third straight win. Anguelov scored 10 points during the decisive spurt and broke the Stockton record of 41 points by Carl Cochran in 1997.

Anguelov eclipsed the 30-point mark for the third straight game. He shot 17-27 (63%) from the field, including 6-11 (54.5%) from three-point range. Eriq Campbell and Devon Johnson also reached double figures with 17 and 15 points, respectively.

The men's team will host William Paterson in a conference game at 3 p.m. on Saturday at The Sports Center. The women's team will play at 1 p.m.

Field Hockey playersFour Ospreys Chosen NFHCA All-Region in Field Hockey

Four field hockey players  for NFHCA Region IV honors by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. Senior Carlee Thompson was chosen NFHCA Region IV First Team for the second straight year to head the quartet.

Junior Kirsten Bailey was named NFHCA Region IV Second Team for the second consecutive year and joined on the NFHCA Region IV Second Team by first-time selections senior Ameera Bilgrami and junior Erika Roura. Thompson, Bailey, Bilgrami and Roura led Stockton to a 10-9 record this fall.

We鈥檙e excited to announce that on Nov. 14, the University received official approval from the state to receive bids for the Library Learning Commons Project.

So, what does this mean? We are still on schedule! This approval brings us into the next phase of this project in which vendors provide cost estimates for their work, and we get to choose renovation companies.

This journey is about more than planning; it鈥檚 about fostering connections and laying the groundwork for bold, strategic actions.

We're thrilled to report that more than  of participation have been recorded across our Strategic Planning activities, including meetings, surveys, and events. This impressive level of engagement highlights the strong collective interest in shaping Stockton's future. While this number represents total participation rather than unique individuals, it underscores the enthusiasm and dedication of our community in contributing their voices to this important process.

2025-26 FAFSA is Available Now

Attention faculty & staff! The 2025-26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available now at . We ask that you please encourage your 91视频 and their families to not only complete the 2025-2026 FAFSA, but also utilize the resources and helpful information listed at  before they complete the application.

Any student or family member who needs assistance completing their section of the FAFSA is invited to attend one of two evening FAFSA Completion events hosted by the Office of Financial Aid this spring! Students and their family members will receive in-person assistance in completing their sections of the FAFSA during these events.

Winter Break Shuttle Schedule

The last full day of shuttle services for both Atlantic City and Galloway is Tuesday, Dec. 17.

For Atlantic City, shuttles will not operate Dec. 18-Jan. 1. Galloway shuttles will not operate Dec. 18-Jan. 19. 

Atlantic City shuttles will operate on a modified schedule Jan. 2-20. 

For Galloway, Lots 8AB Route will run 5-10 p.m. on Jan. 20.

Full service resumes Jan. 21 for both campuses.

Fun Fact Friday: 馃嵅 Today celebrates the flavorful soup that is served cold- Gazpacho! This typically tomato-based vegetable soup originated in the southern Spanish region of Andalucia. Gazpacho is widely consumed in Spanish cuisine, usually during the summer, so a chilly December day may not be the best one to have it. Still, it is definitely one to put in the  for one of those hot days that will come back around, eventually.
