Visual Arts Student at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey Displays Work at the Galloway Cultural Arts Center

 

Three Woman Show Will Run Through April 14

GALLOWAY TWP., N.J. Stockton Junior, and Visual Arts major, Jennifer Burke, is currently exhibiting her work at the Galloway Cultural Arts Center in Absecon, New Jersey. The exhibit, Artistic Women, is a three woman show running through April 14, 2005.

 

Burke, whose major is printmaking, also works in watercolors. Both media are currently on display. Burke will graduate in 2006 with teacher certification and in preparation for her career teaches childrens art classes at the Galloway Center. She is a 2002 graduate of Absegami High School.

 

Other area artists joining Burke are Bonnie Cavalier and Linda Lauria, both of Galloway Township. Cavaliers seashore scenes, still lifes and portraits are worked in a variety of media including oils, watercolor and pencil. Lauria works in oils, pastels and 3 dimensional art.

 

The Center is located at 300 Jimmie Leeds Road, Absecon, New Jersey and admission is free. Gallery hours are Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Thursdays 12 noon to 4:30 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays 12 noon through 3:00 p.m. For further information, call the gallery at 609-652-2418 or 652-7680.
