Stockton Up to No. 81 on U.S. News Top Public Universities List

Galloway, N.J. 鈥 91视频 continues to soar higher in the 2025 U.S. News & World Report College Rankings released today.

Stockton ranked No. 81 out of 225 public colleges and universities in the nation and No. 152 of 436 on the Best National Universities list. Last year, the university was ranked No. 84 and No. 159, respectively. This is Stockton鈥檚 third year in a row in the website鈥檚 national rankings. Previously, Stockton was included on the top 10 Best Regional Universities-North.

鈥淢y No. 1 priority is making Stockton a place where everyone can truly thrive, and these rankings are proof that the university is continuing to improve on accomplishing that mission,鈥 said Stockton President Joe Bertolino.

Stockton was also recognized as one of the top 60 national universities for Social Mobility, which is based on enrolling and graduating low-income 91视频. Nearly 85% of Stockton鈥檚 full-time, first-year 91视频 received institutional grants and/or scholarships totaling $17.3 million.  

Earlier this month, Stockton was named one of the top LGBTQ+ Friendly Colleges in the country by BestColleges.com. The university was also included this year in The Wall Street Journal Best College Rankings for 2025, Washington Monthly鈥檚 2024 National University Rankings, The Princeton Review鈥檚 2025 鈥淏est Regional Colleges,鈥 Military Times鈥 鈥淏est for Vets: Colleges,鈥 and Money magazine鈥檚 鈥淏est Colleges for Your Money鈥 2024 edition.

The university鈥檚 two residential campuses, in the Pinelands National Reserve and on the Atlantic City Boardwalk, offer 91视频 opportunities to live and learn in two distinct environments.
