Galloway, N.J. - More than 300 alumni who graduated in the ‘70s and ‘80s traveled from 24 states and two international locations to reunite at Lakeside Lodge for Spring Bash 2022: ‘70s and ‘80s Reunion Weekend.

The three-day celebration kicked off with a tailgate in C Court as alumni reconnected with old friends and strolled their old stomping grounds. The grads stepped back in time as they stayed overnight in the Courts – some in the same dorm rooms with the same roommates from their undergrad years.

“It’s like slipping back in time. For a moment it felt like it was 1983 again,” said Bonnie Putterman ’85, co-organizer and founder of the reunion.

Throughout the weekend, alumni enjoyed a cornhole tournament, taking canoes out on Lake Fred, food trucks, live music, dancing and, of course, reconnecting with each other.

“It was so great to be back after 40 years and see so many great friends and even make new ones,” said Nancy Neiman Brown ‘82. “We had the best college experience, and it was even better to relive it.”

Co-organizer Tim Lenahan ‘83 and Putterman not only helped put on the weekend for fellow alumni, but they also established the Spring Bash Alumni Scholarship to support today’s Stockton 91Ƶ.

Lenahan addressed the reunion crowd stating they were lucky to attend Stockton at a time where they didn’t graduate with a high amount of student debt.

“We all had our ‘Willy Wonka’ moment when we attended Stockton, in that we got a ‘golden ticket’ that forever changed our lives,” Lenahan said. “Now it’s time to help pass the golden ticket to the next generation of Stockton 91Ƶ.”

Alumni answered his call, raising more than $13,000 for the scholarship, surpassing their original goal of $10,000.

“I am thrilled at the generosity of my Stockton family,” Putterman said. “I can’t thank them enough for helping to raise funds for 91Ƶ.”
